Why join Pony Club?
Joining a Pony Club at a registered riding centre is a fantastic way of making new riding friends whether you own your own pony or not. Being a Pony Club member will give you the benefits of joining in on rallies, sleepovers, games, competitions and lots more. It’s a fun, interactive way of learning to ride with the bonus of earning and certificates for all your efforts. Pony Club is either a one hour session including 30 minutes riding (for our younger members) or a 2hr session for those wishing to ride for longer (for members aged 7 or over). Don’t forget you can join Pony Club from the age of 4! You will have the opportunity to learn about every equestrian discipline.
A great time to join
This year’s members will be having lots of fun with our dressage clinics, show jumping and eventing clinics. Feb half term was the perfect time to refresh our dressage skills, with a fun packed ‘Dressage Day’, with lots more fun activities planned for this year. At Easter, we’re going to be hosting our ‘3 day eventing’ day, perfect for all of you that don’t need leaders and can canter competently, then there’ll be a more sedate day for little ones aspiring to be the next Mark Todd. In May we have a ‘Mayhem and Madness’ camp as we ride and play games for 3 days and sleepover for 2 nights’.

We pride ourselves on trying to help the children understand the fundamentals, but also to adapt to the needs of the horses. We have created a really fun environment where both the children and horses can bond and interact with each other. We can help the children to not only improve their equestrian skills, but also gain confidence and new friendships from taking part in our Pony Club.
How to get involved?
Pony club is really easy to get started, come riding with us and have a trial session for a few weeks before paying your annual membership fee. You might think you need lots of expensive riding gear to start your Pony Club journey, but joddy boots, relevant standard riding hat are your only requirements, but you don’t even need these to get started. Wellies and one of our hired hats are the starting point of most riders. Come along and join one of our discounted trial sessions. Pony Club is dedicated to teaching young people to ride and care for horses and ponies. Be a part of it!
